I wanted to ask for prayers before I go for a couple of things: Thank you to all who are praying for me during this season of my life!
- Safety: I don’t really know what to expect at any stage of this trip – at the airport, training camp, or anywhere in Peru. Please pray that I would be safe from all harm, including not getting dengue from the mosquitoes! 🙂
- Side note: My ankle has been bothering me with a couple of recent sprains, so I’ll be bringing a brace. Hopefully I won’t have too many issues traversing the Andes!
- Boldness/Courage: Please pray that I will have the courage to speak what is on my heart in all situations, including when talking to a stranger, or members of my group.
- Peace/Calm: Please pray that I would have the cheerfulness and serenity needed to be a good leader when things don’t go according to plan.
- Faith/Challenges: Please pray that there would be several scenarios where my faith would grow by needing to rely on God, so that I would increase in dependency and that I could witness the evidence of the Holy Spirit working in my life.
- Joy: “The joy of the Lord is our strength” – please pray that I could be a light to others on the trip as well as local people in Peru by demonstrating what Joy in the Lord looks like.
- Love: Please pray that I would demonstrate the Love of Christ to others on the trip, especially the 7 high school boys I will be leading.
- Shepherding: Please pray that my ability to connect and lead my small group would be driven by wisdom, encouragement, and the reality-shaking truth of the Gospel.
I don’t know what to pray! How can I pray for you?
Pray this – Philippians 1:9 That your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ – to the glory and praise of God.
Thank you!
